Mindfulness Monday: A Quick Introduction

Recently I’ve had a life changing event (which I will tell you all about next week) that made me re-evaluate how I was living my life. I noticed that losing track of time. That hours had gone by and I had no idea what I had done. Something had to change. I understand that I’m not in the best place right now, but that shouldn’t be an excuse for me to drift by the days as if I was a leaf in a river.

And then I ran into a MOOC on Mindfulness and Productivity that helped me rethink how I should life my life. So for the last month, I’ve been trying to be more mindful and present. To be honest, it hasn’t been easy. I am so caught up in ranting about my life and numbing my brain with social media and thoughtless actions that I’m finding it hard to break out of old habits. That said, I’m not giving up.

Today, I’m sharing with you this short video of what living mindfully means and some of the benefits we get out of training our minds to be more mindful. My hope is that this video will encourage you to live a more mindful life.
